“Made in Italy” for PRUA is not a phrase to put on a label: it is a conscious choice. We produce in Italy because we want consistency, control and care at every step that takes a shoe from design to your feet. It is the most direct way we have to stay true to what we promise: an essential, refined and comfortable boat shoe, designed to truly perform on and off the boat.
For PRUA, quality does not come from claims, but from the decisions we make. The first is the material: we use fine leather and high-quality hides. Our shoes are entirely made of leather, because the feel of the material and its natural comfort on the foot are just as much a part of the experience as the design itself. Leather is something you experience: it adapts, becomes personal, and develops with you. That is what we look for when we talk about comfort and style that stands the test of time.
Choosing to produce in Italy means working with established expertise and a culture of attention to detail that can be felt in everyday use. It means being able to closely oversee the production process and maintain consistent standards, without taking shortcuts. We do not want to tell a story that is “bigger” than what we actually do: we would rather let the shoe speak for itself, through the precision of its finishes, the clean balance of its proportions, and that genuine comfort that makes you want to wear it again and again.
For PRUA, “Made in Italy” also means responsibility. That is why we communicate clearly and transparently: on each product page, you will find specific information about every model—materials, fit guidance and care advice—without adding anything we cannot substantiate. PRUA was born in 2025 from a simple idea: fewer things, made with purpose. A classic boat shoe, entirely made of leather, produced in Italy, designed to accompany you every day, even when there is no boat in sight.
